Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince Trailer

with 6 comments

I am a big fan of Harry Potter and can never live without the books..I am currently reading Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, yes I know I am late in reading the book when everyone else should have finished it a long time ago but I simply enjoy to read according to my time.

Now, as the 6th Harry Potter movie is about to go on the big screen, I have been searching for every little details about the movie but let’s start with the trailer. I have always love trailer as the trailer of a movie is the attraction that will either pull you to it or push you away from it. I will never watch a movie with a bad trailer but then again so far I didn’t spot any bad trailer yet so I guess these people are really pro or else they won’t be earning millions.

Alright, here is the trailer and I am going to shut up now and enjoy!

Update 17/07/09: HBP is now released. Watch it now!

X-Files – I Want To Believe

“Don’t Give Up”

The Moral of The Movie

I had just watched The X-Files, I Want To Believe. I am an X-Files fan and I used to watch the series on TV every episodes without fail. The reason why I want to watch this movie simply because I am a fan. I have read in IMDB and there is a review that says:

“this movie is for the fans. If you have never watched the series, don’t watch the movie.”

Yes, it is true indeed for if you have never watch X-Files before and find yourself watching the movie, you are likely to be confused at every scene and every little detail in the movie. Some say the movie is too boring, others say that the movie is just normal and predictable.

Yes, there is no actions, no excessive screaming, no slaughtering, no aliens, no ETs and definitely no ghosts. So, you must be wondering why bother to make such a movie? The reason is because among all the action-packed movies such as The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2 and the upcoming Mummy: The Tomb of Dragon, we need something more subtle, soft and low profile.

In this movie, there is no UFO kind of thing but something beyond our understanding about God and how God give us the ‘vision’. I am still thinking about what Father Joe said about “Don’t Give Up” and other things, trying to get a more understanding of it. I do believe that what we know are much more lesser than what we don’t know so there must be something that we cannot explain for we do not know about the thing yet.

Imagine you are a 5-year old kid that doesn’t know the wonders of the world yet and you asked,

“Why I cannot fly?”

Your mummy being the know-it-all (we all assume we know everything but we don’t) answered:

“You have no wings. Humans don’t have wings so we cannot fly.”

Would you have known that you cannot fly because you have no wings if no one tells you that?

Anyway, I must say that the Mulder-Scully relationship is very complex and it reflects the reality, human relationships are complex and unpredictable. One day you are married, then the next day you are divorced. That is life and so this is a movie about life, about the magic of life and about how life can changed in a single day without any warning at all.

Go watch the movie X-Files fans and non X-Files fans, you can start by watching the series…

Rating: 8/10

Hellboy 2- The Golden Army Relationships

without comments

Baby Hellboy – Is it half hellboy and half human?

It is about Hellboy 2 again and this time, I am just wondering how Hellboy (Red) can mate with supernatural human (Liz)? I just simply cannot imagine having half Hellboy and half Human as their baby (babies, in this case). I think the first story is more subtle in terms of the relationship but then in the this sequel, having babies for Hellboy is just so…weird…

In Hellboy 1 – at least we can see the normal relationship stuff such as jealousy when Liz is getting close to John Myers and how Hellboy and John Myers fall for Liz. Then of course, you get to see how Hellboy detest John while trying to pursue Liz.

In Hellboy 2 – Liz is pregnant with twins (and I thought that Hellboy is supposed to be neutered or something like that)

The Best Part of Hellboy 2

  • You get to listen to the famous oldie, Can’t Smile Without You by Barry Manilow
  • Hellboy and Abraham actually sing the song together (the best moment)
  • Both are deeply in love (Red-Liz and Abe-Nuala)
  • The appearance of Johann Krauss (he is cool and right about Hellboy being bad tempered)
  • You get to feel like watching a fairy tale movie instead of a darker side in the Hellboy 1

Batman – The Dark Knight NO.1 BOX-OFFICE

with one comment

You either die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself becoming a villain.

~Harvey Dent~

It is no surprise that Batman has sent Spiderman back to his nest. Batman is taking over the world record by breaking Spider Man 3 $151.1 million, with a new record of $155.34 million. The number is expected to reach more than $200 million by next week.

Of course, again, the late Heath Ledger played a big role in making Batman into such a phenomenal movie. His death really took the world by the storm and until this day, I am feeling so sad that most celebrities died of drug overdose and other incidents that should not happen at all.

These are the latest box-office movies:

1. “The Dark Knight,” $155.34 million.

2. “Mamma Mia!”, $27.6 million.

3. “Hancock,” $14 million.

4. “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” $11.9 million.

5. “Hellboy II – The Golden Army,” $10 million.

6. “WALL-E,” $9.8 million.

7. “Space Chimps,” $7.4 million.

8. “Wanted,” $5.1 million.

9. “Get Smart,” $4.1 million.

10. “Kung Fu Panda,” $1.8 million.
